Black Jack Back (Yeah this Title Was Dumb So What)

WHAT UP, BRITCHES?
Bet you weren't expecting that, huh? Neither was I...
It's been a while hasn't it? I really did miss writing EVERYDAY, but obviously that probably isn't going to happen again until summer, because my schedule is packed to the point where I can barely remember everything that is supposed to be going on.
But enough about me, what about you?
Hahahaha just kidding back to me because otherwise we'd have a super awkward long silence-pause....                                                                 JUST LIKE THAT.
So, getting back to old to times, a list of things that I've learned/have happened to me?
1.Cacahuate replaced tortuga as my favorite Spanish word.
2. I have become obsessed with Tumblr. I really just look at other people's posts, but if you want to check out the few things I have, click here. I don't really like my theme, but I be getting on that.
3. Being sick while playing your instrument for eight hours a day sucks. Plus, it'll get you addicted to Lemon Mint Ricola Coughdrops (not a sponsor. I don't have any. Yet.)
4. I relearned how much I hate shoveling snow.
5. I GOT MY PERMIT AFTER TRYING THREE TIMES. Too bad my DMV friend wasn't there to see me the last time....OR WAS SHE SABOTAGING ME? (BUM BUM BUUUUUUUUUUUUM!)
Edward's Dramatic Chipmunk Loo
Naaaah she was too nice.
6. Something must be wrong with my computer because now it is extremely difficult to put pictures in Word documents or add videos to posts and stuff, which is really annoying.
7. Q: How many boxes of breadsticks is too many boxes of breadsticks?
A: 4, when you didn't realize your other two roommates ordered two boxes, and each box comes with 20 in them. So you sell them to some of the other kids from your school for all the money they have in their wallets (3 bucks).
8. Pants are overrated. Big sweatshirts and sweaters with leggings are just fine.
9.Marvin's probably not coming back. Ever.
10.TJMAXX is amazing because you go and buy a adorable yellow plastic suitcase, a robot sweater, a mix of a denim vest, a sweatshirt, and a sweater, and sometimes the employees compliment your swan pants or tell you that you should be a model. SHOUT OUT TO MY HOMIES AT MY CLOSEST TJMAXX.
11.So much snow means that one week you went to school for one day.
12. Bassoonists are awesome.
13. Wearing weird shoes helps you make friends, while distracting them from playing as they turn from blue to purple in the light.
14. I wish I had more time to read.
15.Bob's Burgers is now probably my favorite show. I have a Louise hat! I FEEL HER POWER COURSING THROUGH ME!
Bob's Burgers (TV show) Louise Belcher is voiced by Kristen Schaal
Or maybe that's all the coffee I've been drinking lately...
16. Netflix is my newest fling. Been catching up on Portlandia, watched Butter, Skyfall, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Bob's Burgers, Adventure Time, Project Runway, and just about everything else they have on there.
So that's all that's really been going on with me. Send me a comment if you're feeling my vibes, or have any ideas for a new post. But I'm feeling some of my creativity returning, and that feels good.
Until next time, stay deep as the ocean and cool as a cucumber.
And wash your face twice a day to wipe the ugly away (thanks Miles Jai!)
Byeeeeeee! (Grace Helbig)
P.S Can you tell I have youtube mania?

THIS DRESS!

Gaaaaaaaaaaah!
I've probably talked about how much I love the movie Skyfall in at least five posts, but I really liked Sévérine and was pretty depressed when she died. (Sorry for the spoiler, but if you haven't watched the movie yet, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS? DO YOU LIVE UNDER A ROCK? THIS MOVIE IS ONE OF THE MOST STOLEN OFF OF NETFLIX OR SOMETHING!*)
But one of the most impressive things in the movie is her dress, and I have now watched this video about it 23 times, so I now shall share it with you so you can marvel at its beauty and how it helps express Sévérine as a character.
I hope you like it.
*I think I read this in Time Magazine or MSN or something. But I could have mistaken it with Inception since I love both of the movies almost equally. Don't quote me on this. And don't judge.

CATCHING FIRE!

GUYS I JUST SAW CATCHING FIRE AND GOOD THING I DIDN'T CATCH ON FIRE BECAUSE THE TENSION WAS SO FREAKING THICK IT WOULD TAKE THE SHARPEST OF BUTCHER KNIVES OT CUT THROUGH IT.
Man, it was soooo intense.
After the end of the last scene when the Catching Fire symbol comes up and the credits start to roll, one kid in  the audience went "OH SHIT," and that basically summed up the whole movie.
We applauded this magnificent child.
So please go see it. Do it. It's much better than the first one.
Even though I was still cracking jokes throughout most of it. But that's how I was trying to cope with THE TENSION.
P.S Sorry for the swearing, but it is a direct quote and there is no word perfect enough to capture that moment.
But seriously. Run. As. Fast. As. You. Can.

More Inspiration (I forget if this is the third or second one)

There's always something new that you find on the internet...
This really stood out to me.
Jeffrey Campbell Lita All-Over Spike Heels Boots
I love these shoes so much! I included them in a school project about me one time.
WHAT IS THIS SORCERY? Okay, this really isn't inspiration, BUT STILL!
free people lost in tokyo
Perfect.
Effie Trinket. Just Capital Couture.
I love fall...
AND SKYFALL OF COURSE! I love the colors, the atmosphere, the costumes, EVERYTHING in these scenes.
So yeah. That's it for today. See you around.

You Know...

You know that moment when you hear a song that basically describes one of your favorite books, and then you start thinking about Drop Dead Gorgeous?
Probably not.
But when I heard the song "Beauty Queen" by Foxes, I thought of the book Beauty Queens by Libba Bray, which I love so much I've read it at least 10 times, and was thinking about trying to make it into and HI for forensics, but I knew there was no way in heck that I would be able to cut it down into a 10 minute performance (it'd be like slowly destroying a thousand paper snowflakes). But the book is really funny and campy and girly and honest and girl empowering and OH MY GOSH JUST CLICK ON THE LINK ALREADY!
Yep. I just wanted to share it.
And DDG memes.
YEAH, BUDDY!

SHARKNADO

For those of you who aren't in the loop of amazing things, there is this movie that was on the SyFy channel. I would try to explain how fantastic this movie is, but words are escaping me, so I'll just let you watch this teeny bit of it.
That's right kids. SHARKS+TORNADO= SHARKNADO (a.k.a the most brilliant, best/worst movie idea in all of history).
Anyway, I still haven't seen the whole thing yet since I don't get that channel, so my cousins are going to record it for me and make a DVD.
However, this doesn't stop me from talking about it and introducing it to my friends. At band camp the other day, when it looked like a storm was coming, someone yelled, "IT'S A HURRICANE!" , and then I screamed to the sky, "NO, IT'S SHARKNADO!" This prompted a chorus of similar screams of "SHARKNADO!" throughout the band, and my conductor was left puzzled standing on the trailer going, "Whaaaaaat?" Now whenever we see a storm cloud or it begins to rain, everybody understands what is going on.
Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know. Catch you later.

I watched a movie.

Yep, I followed up with my plans everyone! I did what I said I was going to and I am proud of it! My study time suffered only a bit because it was two hours long and I needed to shower since our water is still wonky. BUT I GOT TO DO WHAT I WANTED!

OH MY GOD WHEN THIS HAPPENS I GET SO FREAKING EXCITED! One time I think I almost cried........okay I really just need that song to come on and my battery was low and BA-BAM, everything works out, and the world is okay.
Ow. I cut the roof of my mouth with a  chocolate Tootsie- Pop (of course I'm the one clumsy enough for it to happen). I don't know why people dis on my favorite lollipop because who doesn't want two of the best types of candy, lollipops and chocolate, in one form? AND IT HAS A CHEWY TOOTSIE ROLL CENTER!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Muhahahahahahaha!
Oh, back to the movie.
Well I watched Silver Linings Playbook. It was really good, and I laughed a lot, but there were some parts I really wanted to cry (but I don't cry, soooo). I'm glad it won a lot of awards, and it really was an artistic film (at least to me) with a lot of emotion.
Whoo! Accomplishment, completed!
P.S THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO POST YESTERDAY SO I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHY IT DIDN'T, SO I'M MAKING ANOTHER POST FOR TODAY. Deal with it.

V8 by the Pool

Okay so I'm not really drinking it by pool, or a beach, or even a crowded subway. But every year I convince myself to retry it thinking I'll like it more this time. Truthfully, I think it might be working a little, but it also might be me going, "YOU WILL LIKE THIS STUFF IF IT KILLS YOU! IT TASTES LIKE CARROTS AND SALT AND TOMATOES BUT IT IS GOOD FOR YOU AND YOU'LL BE STRONGER IF YOU DRINK IT BECAUSE THEN YOU CAN TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS HOW TOUGH YOU ARE FOR DRINKING IT!" Or something like that.

It does basically taste like salsa in a glass (I like salsa a lot actually), but in liquid form (and weird textures sort of freak me out).
Eww now I have a weird aftertaste in my mouth. ICKY!
Well, it did rain today, and that was nice. I love it when it rains. The whole world is refreshed and you get that awesome smell from the rain hitting the heat, and  the spider webs on the bushes look like lace veils from heaven. The earth seems to regress a bit into it's prehistoric self, and the world is magical again.
Sigh......I love rain. As well as words. Why else would I be writing this thing anyway?
Well I have six minutes until I want to get this post done, so lets get's started. I want to make a list of five things I appreciate. Just because.
1.Lotion Tissues- Oh my lands, these things can change you from being a very depressed sick person with a red and irritated nose to a someone in total bliss as they blow snot into what feels like a slightly perfumed but disposable and disintegrating cloud. Good times all around.
2.Movie Theaters- For me, these are places to relax by yourself even if other people go with you, because you are enjoying your candy of your choosing in what is a story that you get to watch that you can analyze and interpret in your own way. Unless that annoying person behind you is explaining EXACTLY WHAT THEY THINK THE MOVIE MEANS AND EVERY FREAKING METAPHOR TO WHO THEY THINK IS THEIR INFERIOR MOVIE-CRITIC FRIEND. Never do this. Ever. No matter how confused your brother is during Inception. It's a jerky-movie-go-er move.
3.Awesomely Fantastic People You Don't Know- Because they will give you their box of free Dots, or that card to get free popcorn, or the money that fell out of your pocket, or your wallet, or will help you when all of your groceries fall out of your reusable bags.  This world is filled with good people. Let them find you.
4.Movie Soundtracks- These are the best because a certain song can remind you of part of a movie, or you can just play them during daily life and then you feel like your whole life is a movie. I have done this A LOT! Also if you jog you can pretend you are James Bond, and few things are better than not thinking of jogging but pretending you are James Bond.
5.Music Videos- THEY'RE LIKE A FREAKING MOVIE TO A SONG AND SOMETIMES THEY ARE FUNNY AND BEAUTIFUL AND STRANGE AND THOUGHT PROVOKING AND DOWNRIGHT WEIRD.
Oh, I guess these are all sort of movie related. Except of the lotion tissues. Oh well.
Hahahaha actually my friend and I were talking about how Leonard Dicaprio dies a lot last week so I found this and started laughing manically. By myself. I can do that.
Also, I was thinking today about how much it bothers me when I read a book or listen to a song and then it magically becomes uber popular a week/month/year later and everyone talks about it and the meaning is lost because EVERYBODY has bought the song/book/movie. I should be happy because the artist or author or who ever I like is getting recognized, but I sort of want to keep it to myself so it's my own personal thing. I like that it isn't popular yet. Maybe that's just the hipster inside of me.

Well, I'm 28 minutes over when I wanted to be finished so I'll just end it here with a quick poem.
Blanket flies behind,
Running into the distance,
The rainbow my kite.
Yaay! One minute to my emergency deadline. Enough time to grab a bagel. See you later.
