Hey y'all.
Just a quick update on me since I know my posting has been next to none.
I've been stressing out a lot lately, and working as much as I possibly can to get school work done correctly and in a timely manner.
So mate has become my new best friend, and I realized how nice and quiet it is at two in the morning.
And while that sounds sort of romantic (at least I think it does), and while I also am sort of strangely addicted to it, I sort of need more sleep.
Also, my face keeps twitching, so that's not a plus.
BUT DON'T WORRY GUYS, I'LL BE BACK TO WRITING SOON!
Hopefully Saturday!
And don't worry about me, I really am fine, I just have these bouts of chaos during this time of the year for some reason.
But I can deal with organized chaos. Perhaps that'll be the title of my memoir, Organized Chaos. Or perhaps after something a teacher told me, Just Under Crazy.
Or something.
ANYDOODLES, I will start writing again, and that makes me happy. Maybe I'll put my sonnet on sporks on here from English class, or a ballad that I'll have to write in the future.
I want mine to be about a police chicken. Hehehe.
Well, gotta fly little ones. I'll write more soon.
(P.S I now have a problem with Tumblr, as in I FIND IT TO BE SOOOOO AMAZING, so if you want to check mine out, it's www.anonymousbassoonist.tumblr.com . Just to let you know. And now this is the true goodbye. Byeeeeee!)

Explosions All Around Me
What's even going on?
If you asked me right now, I'd have no idea.
My weekends are starting to just become whirlwinds of emotions separated by music, people staring into your eyes, frantic and desperate hugs, traveling, unhealthy snacks, and noisy explosions.
Simulated by yours truly, either scaring the crap out of people or making them more confused.
Yeah.
And while March is usually a bad month for me (I get tired of winter and the delay of spring, of testing, and basically of most people), it's starting out well.
I'm going to be missing more school, but that's okay.
I'll get to travel more, which is okay.
I get to do what I love, which is okay.
And I get to be with the people I love, which is the best.
So maybe life is just one big explosion. Chaotic, out of control, dangerous.
But it the same way exhilarating and frighteningly beautiful.
Ponder that for a bit, okay?

Old Dream Journal Thing
So you know how I mentioned that I've always wanted to record down dreams? Well I forgot that when I was in the 7th grade that I actually did. For like two.
Technically I found half of them when I was cleaning out my room the other day.
SO HERE IT IS! (It was messily written on a piece of graph paper in Spanish I, so I transcribed it for your enjoyment)

I need to remember this dream...
I was in Mrs. Fluck's* class and we were presenting posters on bunnies. Suddenly, a kid came over to me and gave me a card. But I don't know what he looked like, or what the card said (I couldn't remember, but I think I smiled). Then, I was at my house, and I went into a closet. But I heard it lock behind me. So I opened another door in the closet, and I was on a desert island. So I started walking around. Then I saw a girl in a lake, and she had hypothermia. So these trolls kept pouring maple syrup into the lake to warm her up. I kept walking, until I saw a yellow flower. But then, when I looked up close, it had a poison spike. Weird...
Then I found a lady on top of a hill. She was sleeping (or unconscious). For some reason I rolled her down the hill. And that was the end of the dream...(or all I remember).
Yeperdoodles, that's little me. But I almost never have realistic dreams. Also, I don't know if this is true with anyone else, but there isn't really sound in my dreams. When people talk to each other, their mouths move, and I know what they are saying in my head, but no sound comes out. For explosions I again hear the noise in my head, but there isn't any sound in the actual dream. Weird, right?
Well, that's all I got for today. Stay safe with all the know, and if you can, go buy yourself some discounted Valentine's Day candy.
BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTH IT.
And don't you forget it.
*This is the actual, legit name of one of my seventh grade teachers. I'm not changing it because a.) I know most of y'all won't believe me and b.) I don't care because I don't mention much else about her.

Black Jack Back (Yeah this Title Was Dumb So What)
WHAT UP, BRITCHES?
Bet you weren't expecting that, huh? Neither was I...
It's been a while hasn't it? I really did miss writing EVERYDAY, but obviously that probably isn't going to happen again until summer, because my schedule is packed to the point where I can barely remember everything that is supposed to be going on.But enough about me, what about you?
Hahahaha just kidding back to me because otherwise we'd have a super awkward long silence-pause.... JUST LIKE THAT.
So, getting back to old to times, a list of things that I've learned/have happened to me?
1.Cacahuate replaced tortuga as my favorite Spanish word.
2. I have become obsessed with Tumblr. I really just look at other people's posts, but if you want to check out the few things I have, click here. I don't really like my theme, but I be getting on that.
3. Being sick while playing your instrument for eight hours a day sucks. Plus, it'll get you addicted to Lemon Mint Ricola Coughdrops (not a sponsor. I don't have any. Yet.)
4. I relearned how much I hate shoveling snow.
5. I GOT MY PERMIT AFTER TRYING THREE TIMES. Too bad my DMV friend wasn't there to see me the last time....OR WAS SHE SABOTAGING ME? (BUM BUM BUUUUUUUUUUUUM!)
Naaaah she was too nice.
6. Something must be wrong with my computer because now it is extremely difficult to put pictures in Word documents or add videos to posts and stuff, which is really annoying.7. Q: How many boxes of breadsticks is too many boxes of breadsticks?
A: 4, when you didn't realize your other two roommates ordered two boxes, and each box comes with 20 in them. So you sell them to some of the other kids from your school for all the money they have in their wallets (3 bucks).
8. Pants are overrated. Big sweatshirts and sweaters with leggings are just fine.
9.Marvin's probably not coming back. Ever.
10.TJMAXX is amazing because you go and buy a adorable yellow plastic suitcase, a robot sweater, a mix of a denim vest, a sweatshirt, and a sweater, and sometimes the employees compliment your swan pants or tell you that you should be a model. SHOUT OUT TO MY HOMIES AT MY CLOSEST TJMAXX.
11.So much snow means that one week you went to school for one day.
12. Bassoonists are awesome.
13. Wearing weird shoes helps you make friends, while distracting them from playing as they turn from blue to purple in the light.
14. I wish I had more time to read.
15.Bob's Burgers is now probably my favorite show. I have a Louise hat! I FEEL HER POWER COURSING THROUGH ME!
Or maybe that's all the coffee I've been drinking lately...
16. Netflix is my newest fling. Been catching up on Portlandia, watched Butter, Skyfall, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Bob's Burgers, Adventure Time, Project Runway, and just about everything else they have on there. So that's all that's really been going on with me. Send me a comment if you're feeling my vibes, or have any ideas for a new post. But I'm feeling some of my creativity returning, and that feels good.
Until next time, stay deep as the ocean and cool as a cucumber.
And wash your face twice a day to wipe the ugly away (thanks Miles Jai!)

Cream Post (Color Post 2 or 3 Because I Don't Remember)
When I was little, every time I would get a new babysitter, I would ask them what their favorite color was (this was sort of a test to see how cool they were).
One time this one girl Alicia* said her favorite color was cream. And at first I thought this was stupid. "Isn't that just white?" I asked. And she replied how it was so much more.
While cream probably isn't my favorite color, I've come to appreciate it more now. It's the color of those little butterflies that used to float around my garden, the color of espresso-tinged foam the latte you need to keep you warm and cozy, the color of vintage lace worn by time.
It also sort of reminds me of the holidays, so I got together this montage for all of y'all.

Working on Wreck This Journal
I finally have had some down time to work on it again (even though I should be working on school projects).
The problem is that once I start wrecking, I get kind of obsessed and do around ten pages at a time until I finish them, and then I taper off after a day and forget about it.
So this is the cycle that my work has fallen into, and by tomorrow I'll be back at school and will forget about the whole book until Christmas break.
Probably.
But for now, I'll show you one of the pages that I think I'm basically finished with. I did it late last night, because that is the best time of day for destroying your journal for some reason. Perhaps it's because its dark and you turn up your music loud (on your headphones) and you just finished a jar of Nutella and everything is working out in the world.
Well, you know, for me at least.
So here's the page!
P.S I was really twitchy when writing this post so sorry if the words sound funny. I look back on this and don't think that the order and flow was superb.

Blue Ombre (1st Thanksgiving Doodle Post)
So this is just me being bored and doing some ombre. I love the trend and how the colors meld into the next, and sometimes I'll try it on my hair with hair chalk. Except the colors usually run into each other, and I'm also running out of the blues and purples, which are my favorites.
When I first started doing this one (out of boredom) I though it sort of looked like fish eggs.
Yep.

Black Hole
I don't know if I've said it before on this blog, but I know I have told my friends and some of my family that I have a black hole that follows me. Except I never know where it is. But it sucks up important things and spits them out (usually after the time I need them) like my turquoise ring, my long, knee-high socks, my War-Heads stash, my umbrella, and my lemon flavored mouth guard. I have lost all these things for around a couple a months, and then POOF! Out of no where they appear, and of course it doesn't matter as much since I have gotten past the time where I needed them.
My cat, Marvin, has disappeared, leaving our house about a week or two ago and not coming back. I'm pretty sure he's with another family since he's pretty friendly, but then something happened on Saturday to make me think otherwise.
I was digging in the back of my closet trying to find a bag, and as I saw it and grabbed it, I heard something plunk out. Something very familiar. Something that had fallen out of many of my bags and down steps and out of cars.
Guys, it was my phone.
AND I FREAKED OUT!
Naturally, I chucked it back in the closet and ran away, and when I was sitting on the bus later that morning, I realized why it had appeared.
The universe had made a trade.
After all my pleas for the return of my phone, it finally answered, but took an unwilling victim (MARVIN McNUT) in my phone's place. And so I want to trade again.
But I don't think that is going to happen.
Don't black holes just suck?

Babushka
I have a babushka voice. It is a mix of a loving but sort of stern grandmother, an accent that really could pass for a couple of different countries, and it is one of my favorite things right now. I sometimes wear my special scarf that finishes the babushka look, and then I am completely happy, and I become this babushka character.
I needed to do a speech for this weekend, and when I saw this, I fell in love. I looked for other speeches anyway, but from the minute I finished this Ted Talk I knew I was sold, and now I am doing it. I didn't even know it was about babushkas until I watched it.
But if you care to watch, it is really interesting and it makes you wonder more about the perseverance of people.
So here.
What did you think? Could you do what they did even knowing the fact that it will kill you?

Little Seeds
Hey fellow chicos y chicas!
It's good to be back.
I know I've taken a break from writing on Meadow Inferno, but I needed some time to get stuff done and start getting some of the creative juices flowing.
And slowly, it's coming back to me how to write a blog post that I am proud of and is absolutely me.
But I probably won't be posting everyday.
It's hard for me to think of ideas, and while I do love the small, tiny, random thought posts that have been coming up recently, I also like the long, random ones with all the pictures and possibly deeper thoughts and the crazy drawings and the poems and pictures I've come to love.
But today, as I was sitting at my computer writing this in my blazer and pajamas I got to thinking about all those little sentences said by somebody else that get lodged in your brain. They could be positive, they could be negative, they could be sort of both. All it takes is that little utterance, that seemingly un-important comment, the last sentence at the end of a book.
And it starts to take root in your mind.
Before you know it, it has spread to the outer corners of your consciousness, and becomes something that you start thinking about a little more than you probably should. But the roots keep spreading and spreading and taking more of your mind until it's basically all you start thinking about and you need the answer about what it is really about. So you Google it or you try to drop hints to get somebody to talk more about it. And it doesn't really work.
And it goes away.
And you realize that it wasn't that important at all.
Or maybe it was.
YOU SEE GUYS, I MISSED DOING STUFF LIKE THIS!
Now I gotta go find my Nutella. I hid it around here somewhere...

Banksy
I have already talked about his artwork before. But I'm just going to let it speak for itself.

Graffiti can be much more than vandalism. It can be a message.

JEFFREY CAMPBELL, I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU!
WHY DO YOUR SHOES HAVE TO BE SO EXPENSIVE, BUT LOOK SO DANG FINE?!?!? MAN, IF I HAD MORE MONEY I WOULD BE ALL OVER THOSE SHOES AND WEAR THEM EVERYDAY. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW! PLEASE KEEP DOING WHAT EVER YOU BE DOING!
(P.S Basically I only sampled black and gold shoes. Purely accidental.)

Halloween Costumes!
I love Halloween, and even if I can't go trick or treating anymore (I'm too old), I still get to dress up with the marching band for the Halloween Parade we have where I live.
My favorite part is definitely dressing up, and here are a couple of costume ideas that I think are cute/quirky/amazing.
My favorite part is definitely dressing up, and here are a couple of costume ideas that I think are cute/quirky/amazing.
This is one the best ideas ever! It looks so cute, and I'm already so in love with this movie that every time it is on I drop whatever I'm doing and gravitate towards it like a moth to a light.
I love this lady and I love this costume idea!
(Oh Happy Day!)
I think this would be super easy to pull off even on someone who isn't a child, and who wouldn't want to be Frida anyways?
Okay, maybe I'm just attracted to very small and adorable costumes.
No words. Just silence and open mouth derping.
So I hoped this helped! Or just made you smile. Either way, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Hahaha this was sort of a list? But I was cold and thinking of all the things that make you feel all nice and toasty.

More Inspiration (I forget if this is the third or second one)
There's always something new that you find on the internet...
This really stood out to me.
I love these shoes so much! I included them in a school project about me one time.
WHAT IS THIS SORCERY? Okay, this really isn't inspiration, BUT STILL!
Perfect.
Effie Trinket. Just Capital Couture.
I love fall...
AND SKYFALL OF COURSE! I love the colors, the atmosphere, the costumes, EVERYTHING in these scenes.
So yeah. That's it for today. See you around.

Anchors
I've always loved anchors. Maybe it stems from my love of kayaking and sailing and boats. Or the trips I used to take to Baltimore to see all the ships. Or my love of Popeye as a kid. Or pirates.
But I love the shapes of anchors, and what they can stand for. Maybe it stands for what's holding you back, and you're trying to get past that. Or maybe it's what you hold close to your heart and are connected to, like home. Either way I think they have huge meaning and I'm drawn to them. So this is what happened after I finished my homework yesterday.

Do you have a certain symbol that means something for you? It could be anything, small, big, intricate, simple, powerful, dangerous, anything at all.
