Old Dream Journal Thing

So you know how I mentioned that I've always wanted to record down dreams? Well I forgot that when I was in the 7th grade that I actually did. For like two.
Technically I found half of them when I was cleaning out my room the other day.
SO HERE IT IS! (It was messily written on a piece of graph paper in Spanish I, so I transcribed it for your enjoyment)
4/26/11
I need to remember this dream...
I was in Mrs. Fluck's* class and we were presenting posters on bunnies. Suddenly, a kid came over to me and gave me a card. But I don't know what he looked like, or what the card said (I couldn't remember, but I think I smiled). Then, I was at my house, and I went into a closet. But I heard it lock behind me. So I opened another door in the closet, and I was on a desert island. So I started walking around. Then I saw a girl in a lake, and she had hypothermia. So these trolls kept pouring maple syrup into the lake to warm her up. I kept walking, until I saw a yellow flower. But then, when I looked up close, it had a poison spike. Weird...
Then I found a lady on top of a hill. She was sleeping (or unconscious). For some reason I rolled her down the hill. And that was the end of the dream...(or all I remember).

Yeperdoodles, that's little me. But I almost never have realistic dreams. Also, I don't know if this is true with anyone else, but there isn't really sound in my dreams. When people talk to each other, their mouths move, and I know what they are saying in my head, but no sound comes out. For explosions I again hear the noise in my head, but there isn't any sound in the actual dream. Weird, right?
Well, that's all I got for today. Stay safe with all the know, and if you can, go buy yourself some discounted Valentine's Day candy.
BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTH IT.
And don't you forget it.
*This is the actual, legit name of one of my seventh grade teachers. I'm not changing it because a.) I know most of y'all won't believe me and b.) I don't care because I don't mention much else about her.

Maybe I Am Becoming an Old Person...

Not in just the getting older, because yes, every year I celebrate a birthday (even if last year I sort of forgot about it, A REASON FOR THE TITLE ABOVE). But maybe I'm becoming more elderly and curmudgeonly. (I LOVE THAT WORD!)
I have noticed that:
-I enjoy foods that don't need chewing, such as soup, mashed potatoes, hummus, oatmeal, pudding, ice cream, etc. Further evidence of this is all over this blog.
- As mentioned above, I forget things. Really, it is only short term things, like where I put Ting's (my alter ego) glasses, or the jar of Nutella, or my script. Long term is fine, but usually it's something unusual, like the color of crayon I used the most of when drawing over the walls of my old house (Mac & Cheese).
- I'm annoyed by technology. And I'm slowly refusing to stop learning how to use new ones (which is why my PowerPoint skills are so horrible).
-I'm beginning to look at younger kids and realize that their childhoods are totally different, and that when I was in fourth grade, I didn't have Hollister jeans or an iPod touch or iPhone. And I miss being a little kid.
- I am an old man (temporarily when I read a monologue) in a play. They changed it so I was a old lady, but I feel like by being an old man I can be more crotchety (I LOVE THAT WORD TOO!).
Maybe everyone feels like this and misses being a little kid and is afraid of getting old. Especially when you're in high school. You have no idea what is coming next and are sort of afraid, but you really miss being a little kid and not having to worry about anything like how other people think of you, or your grades, or how your friends are doing, or memorizing lines, or who is going to take you to homecoming.
Do you feel the same way?
Okay, I got to go eat some soup and drink some tea.

Pirates vs. Superheroes (and Why I Pick Pirates)

So one day I was looking for something to write about, and one idea that came up was Pirates vs. Superheroes. And for some reason, I immediately picked out the winner.
Pirates.
Yes, I know some of you Marvel and DC fanatics are going to whimper "Whaaaat?" and argue all the way to end of the Internet, but as much as I appreciate the beauty of comics and their movies, pirates are superior.*
1.Pirates aren't perfect.
Superheroes seem to be these perfect beings that do good, help others, and make the right choices, and are generally are awesome. I respect this. But this doesn't really appeal to me because it is something that I will never be, nor anyone else can be, because it doesn't exist. Pirates, on the other hand, realize that they aren't perfect, and accept it and move on with their lives and continue stealing and doing the thing that they do best, being sort of horrible.** And I like that.

2. Pirates aren't beautiful. Nor will they ever be.
When you think of a superhero, you think of muscular, strong, beautiful person who constantly saves the day in their skintight uniforms. Not a person with rotting teeth, questionable hygiene, and is possibly missing a finger, a couple toes, or more often, a whole leg. And again, I like pirates for the self-confidence that they administer while walking around, and if they frighten people, they sort of enjoy it. The only superheroes that I can think of that aren't the example of extreme beauty/handsomeness are The Incredibles, and honestly I loved that movie so much as a kid (and still today), that I saw it three times and theaters and probably 547 times on my TV/DVD player, and have watched all the extras 342 times.
3. Pirates actually existed.
Pirates did at one time sail the seven seas, and still do today. While there are real-life superheroes today, they don't have extreme fame as the ones in the movies, and are usually humble and continue to do good things just for the reason that they are good. The only thing that makes them different from other people is their extreme kindness, decency, and amazingness in tough situations. I guess this is what movies and comics portray, but sorry I'm on the pirates side as I already stated.
4. Loyalty
So since I couldn't think up much on this one for superheroes, I'm just going to go with the side for pirates. While they are pretty awful people, pirates have an extreme loyalty for their captains, and they will almost always follow them to the end of the earth (and in Jack Sparrow's case, his crew actually did). Pirates are also loyal to the ocean, and no matter how much they love to curse her for storms or what have you, they will always return to her, no matter what.
5. Bad Boys of the Ocean
Who doesn't love a bad boy? Maybe that's why I actually just picked pirates. Hmmm...
Well, that's all I have for today. Who do you think is better? Let me know in the comments!
Eye. Harvey K. Littleton. I actually saw this piece at its museum!
*I am not a pirate expert by any means.
**However, I don't respect pirates for the whole raping/pillaging act they put on.

Rawr.

Okay, you know how when there is something you don't want to do, the rest of the day feels shortened and you're running out of time before it happens?
I'm feeling that right now.
But not to talk about me, I'M HERE TO WRITE ABOUT WEIRD AWESOME STUFF!
Yaaaaaaaaay!
I got me some summer reading, still haven't gotten to volunteering, and basically I am gorging on Nutella and Salt and Vinegar Chips.
My cats are frolicking in the sun, with Marvin pouncing in the shadows, Buster running into me with joy (he like when the people outside!) and Cassidy acknowledging me and then going to find somewhere quiet to sleep.
I'm wearing my XL NBA jersey with the coffee stains on it, and not caring about anything.
Well, I'm worrying about the thing I have to do later, which is nagging me, but I don't want to talk about it.
I want to go outside though, so I'm going to end my post here with a quote and a couple of memes.
"The purpose of art is to wash the dust of daily life off our souls."
-Pablo Picasso

Yaaay! So go make art and be creative! I need to do a DIY soon....
Memes!

Oh my gosh, I NEED THAT MUG!
See you later.

Today

So yeah, today was filled his memories, sadness, and a lot of gelato.
Gelato probably being the least important.

But so good......
Anyways, I said goodbye to a lot of my friends who are going off to college, and I know I'm going to miss them. A lot.
It was rainy today, and even though I love it when it rains, it seemed different today, as if colder and dark, even regretful. That was pretty depressing.
Today was technically my last day of school (even if I wasn't in it), and that made me sort of sad too. I had a really good year, and hopefully I remember all the random things that happened.
I was also bored to tears today.
I wanted to do a DIY, but didn't have what I needed to do it. I wanted to play a game, but had no one to play it with. I wanted to sleep, but my body said, "NOOOOOOOO!"
I wanted to cry, but apparently after not doing that for four years, it doesn't work either.

It took me forever to write something, because I had nothing to say. I was going to do a post on how Las Vegas is scary, but then I didn't want to freak people out so I didn't.
Yeah.
I need ideas, and I know this post in whiny, but I really can't think of anything.
So......MEMES! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Walrus and seal edition.
Okay, quote time.
"Experience: the most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God you learn."
-C.S Lewis
So try everything, do what you can with the time you have, and always clean your sink drain at least once a month.
'Cause it gonna get nasty up in there.

Yeah.

Work....

Sorry guys, I got crap to do before finals. No inspirational stories or anything. I'll put a quote and some pics or a couple gifs but that's all I can do.
Oh well, I'm still sort of commited.

"People are like stained - glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within."
- Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

That's pretty deep, isn't it?

Hmmmmm, let's see......

Shutting Down

I'm REALLY tired of everything. I just need a break from the chaos and commitment and the work and the constantly communicating with people. This weekend I have one free day, but it's probably going to be spent studying,
Okay I have 20 minutes to cram as much as I can before I have my Emergency Deadline. Also, a storm's a comin', so I better get on it before the power goes off again.
Okay, what can I talk about........ FOOD!
Blue Corn Torilla Chips- Plain, but for some reason I like really plain foods sometimes.....and really rich ones.
Gelato-It's so much better than ice cream, no matter what any body says. Also it comes in a bunch of fantastic flavors, and it's softer and creamier than ice cream. I also find that if you have sensitive teeth it doesn't bother them as much.
Grapes- But we already talked about this.....
Muffins-WHY HAVE CUPCAKES WHEN YOU CAN HAVE MUFFINS? Well, the frosting always gets me sick, and I just like muffins.
Croissants- OH MY LANDS I COULD LIVE OFF OF REALLY GOOD CROISSANTS. Put Nutella in them and it's a dream come true. Fun Fact- I tried my first one in St. Croix when I was little. I also tried guava juice, WHICH IS ALSO FREAKING AMAZING!
Ummm, I really don't feel like writing anything else on food, soooooooo........
Things that have happened to me lately:
1. My ukulele broke. I found it broken in my room, all the strings splayed all over the place and the piece that holds them together nearby, but it some how was standing in its spot, like nothing had happened......
2. I haven't had coffee in seventeen days. It feels kinda good, but I also feel kinda tired. All. the. time.
3. I pulled a bunch of ticks off my cat Marvin's eyes. He let me do it. Then he rolled over and made me scratch his stomach.
Oh note, the word belly bothers me. It's like a little kid term instead of something real. Just say stomach because it sounds better. Or at least when talking to me.
I realized I made some more lists today....I have to work on that....
Oh! I didn't add any pictures! Or gifs! OH NO!

My favorite Forensics Fox..... :)
Okay that's all I got.....
Deadline failed....... :( Oh well.
Oh, I almost forgot my poem!
Life is freaking short,
Trying to get everything done,
Live a little too.
Hopefully I'll catch you tomorrow.

I watched a movie.

Yep, I followed up with my plans everyone! I did what I said I was going to and I am proud of it! My study time suffered only a bit because it was two hours long and I needed to shower since our water is still wonky. BUT I GOT TO DO WHAT I WANTED!

OH MY GOD WHEN THIS HAPPENS I GET SO FREAKING EXCITED! One time I think I almost cried........okay I really just need that song to come on and my battery was low and BA-BAM, everything works out, and the world is okay.
Ow. I cut the roof of my mouth with a  chocolate Tootsie- Pop (of course I'm the one clumsy enough for it to happen). I don't know why people dis on my favorite lollipop because who doesn't want two of the best types of candy, lollipops and chocolate, in one form? AND IT HAS A CHEWY TOOTSIE ROLL CENTER!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Muhahahahahahaha!
Oh, back to the movie.
Well I watched Silver Linings Playbook. It was really good, and I laughed a lot, but there were some parts I really wanted to cry (but I don't cry, soooo). I'm glad it won a lot of awards, and it really was an artistic film (at least to me) with a lot of emotion.
Whoo! Accomplishment, completed!
P.S THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO POST YESTERDAY SO I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHY IT DIDN'T, SO I'M MAKING ANOTHER POST FOR TODAY. Deal with it.

V8 by the Pool

Okay so I'm not really drinking it by pool, or a beach, or even a crowded subway. But every year I convince myself to retry it thinking I'll like it more this time. Truthfully, I think it might be working a little, but it also might be me going, "YOU WILL LIKE THIS STUFF IF IT KILLS YOU! IT TASTES LIKE CARROTS AND SALT AND TOMATOES BUT IT IS GOOD FOR YOU AND YOU'LL BE STRONGER IF YOU DRINK IT BECAUSE THEN YOU CAN TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS HOW TOUGH YOU ARE FOR DRINKING IT!" Or something like that.

It does basically taste like salsa in a glass (I like salsa a lot actually), but in liquid form (and weird textures sort of freak me out).
Eww now I have a weird aftertaste in my mouth. ICKY!
Well, it did rain today, and that was nice. I love it when it rains. The whole world is refreshed and you get that awesome smell from the rain hitting the heat, and  the spider webs on the bushes look like lace veils from heaven. The earth seems to regress a bit into it's prehistoric self, and the world is magical again.
Sigh......I love rain. As well as words. Why else would I be writing this thing anyway?
Well I have six minutes until I want to get this post done, so lets get's started. I want to make a list of five things I appreciate. Just because.
1.Lotion Tissues- Oh my lands, these things can change you from being a very depressed sick person with a red and irritated nose to a someone in total bliss as they blow snot into what feels like a slightly perfumed but disposable and disintegrating cloud. Good times all around.
2.Movie Theaters- For me, these are places to relax by yourself even if other people go with you, because you are enjoying your candy of your choosing in what is a story that you get to watch that you can analyze and interpret in your own way. Unless that annoying person behind you is explaining EXACTLY WHAT THEY THINK THE MOVIE MEANS AND EVERY FREAKING METAPHOR TO WHO THEY THINK IS THEIR INFERIOR MOVIE-CRITIC FRIEND. Never do this. Ever. No matter how confused your brother is during Inception. It's a jerky-movie-go-er move.
3.Awesomely Fantastic People You Don't Know- Because they will give you their box of free Dots, or that card to get free popcorn, or the money that fell out of your pocket, or your wallet, or will help you when all of your groceries fall out of your reusable bags.  This world is filled with good people. Let them find you.
4.Movie Soundtracks- These are the best because a certain song can remind you of part of a movie, or you can just play them during daily life and then you feel like your whole life is a movie. I have done this A LOT! Also if you jog you can pretend you are James Bond, and few things are better than not thinking of jogging but pretending you are James Bond.
5.Music Videos- THEY'RE LIKE A FREAKING MOVIE TO A SONG AND SOMETIMES THEY ARE FUNNY AND BEAUTIFUL AND STRANGE AND THOUGHT PROVOKING AND DOWNRIGHT WEIRD.
Oh, I guess these are all sort of movie related. Except of the lotion tissues. Oh well.
Hahahaha actually my friend and I were talking about how Leonard Dicaprio dies a lot last week so I found this and started laughing manically. By myself. I can do that.
Also, I was thinking today about how much it bothers me when I read a book or listen to a song and then it magically becomes uber popular a week/month/year later and everyone talks about it and the meaning is lost because EVERYBODY has bought the song/book/movie. I should be happy because the artist or author or who ever I like is getting recognized, but I sort of want to keep it to myself so it's my own personal thing. I like that it isn't popular yet. Maybe that's just the hipster inside of me.

Well, I'm 28 minutes over when I wanted to be finished so I'll just end it here with a quick poem.
Blanket flies behind,
Running into the distance,
The rainbow my kite.
Yaay! One minute to my emergency deadline. Enough time to grab a bagel. See you later.

EXCITEMENT

WHOO HOO! Hey guys!
I'm back from my mini trip to Busch Gardens and D.C and I had a super fantastic time. Oh yeah I forgot I am supposed to just address one person. Hmmmmmm..... okay got it.
Dear Annette (hehehe still DDG),
Upon returning, I have been excited about many things. Well, I'm always excited in general, but whatever. Here's a list.
1.OH MY GOD I LOVE LISTS! Okay, that one doesn't really count.
2.Great Gatsby Soundtrack. I read the book last week since I really wanted to see the movie but didn't want to go in without the prior knowledge (jeez, the book was great). Anyway, the movie looks pretty good. After watching some trailers, I wanted to know the soundtrack. So I looked it up and listened to some samples AND OH MY GOODNESS, IT BLEW ME AWAY AND I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED FOR MAY 7TH SO I CAN BUY IT ALL! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! But I digress.

3. Roller coasters. I found out that I love roller coasters. A lot. Maybe too much. Sadly in all of my pictures that you can get at the end of the ride there was the same dopey face of me being like a little kid who has had WAY too much sugar. Also I laugh manically. Sometimes I scream. Once I yelled "I NEED TO HICCUP". The other patrons were either afraid or enthralled by my randomness. It was great.
4.NUTELLA! We all know that I love it but now I really want some. Wait a sec. Here let me give you an image of what I'm doing to get it.
Mmmmmm it's pretty good on green apples too.
(Side Note: If you knew how long it takes me to post it would make you very disappointed in me because it takes me FOREVER to get all the links, photos, captions, and general layout of a page.
5. Tomorrow. Not to sound like Annie or anything, but I always look forward to the good things to come in the future, no matter how big or small, which means back to school! (Notice I didn't say waking up to go there.) YAAAAAY MAKE-UP WORK!
Whooo! It's haiku time!
Black and white photos,
Gone is unnecessary,
Character remains.
Isn't this true? Free People Blog was talking about this, and I couldn't agree more. There is a certain quality that comes out it pictures when the color mask is stripped away. You get to see the true nature of the person/object/place, and you get a better feel for it. You see the hard and soft of the lines, it's movement, the reason why it is what it is.
Whoa, going deep in the ocean again I see.
Hmm...should I add a picture? HECK YEAH!
Octopus dress? What do you think?
(P.S Spellcheck doesn't think Nutella is a word. WHAT IS THIS TREACHERY?!?!)

Loretta

Hey y'all! Look, I acutally remembered to write for the second day in a row! Whoo personal progress!
Okay, since I know that nobody is really reading this blog (I'm allowed to see a graph in which I realized the peaks were from me checking to see if the posts actually showed up and stuff, sad, I know) I feel like I could write better if I was writing to an actual person beacause, hey, I enjoy writing extremely long letters about nothing in particular. Meadow Inferno is a terrible name though, so until I can think of a person that I feel like addressing, I will just use a random name.
Dear Loretta,
You happen to be one of my favorite characters from the movie Drop Dead Gorgeous. Well, your name at least. You are a fictional reader who I choose to write to in this time of need. Heck, tomorrow I will write to Gladys. But it is not this day.

(hehehehe yes this is what I'm doing at this time)

Yaaay go memes. They are truly the bestest.
Okay, Loretta. So now I enjoy using the program on my computer to draw things, and I have been told that I "drew something almost exactly like it when you were 5". The program is pretty fun. It gives you a lot of different colors to utilize and there are stickers and different mediums and it is just overall great. Look what I made just the other day!
So this is a pretty good representation of me since the hair is pretty much perfectly out of control and who wouldn't prefer to be in a shrine of grapes because, face it, grapes are basically the most accessible fruit. If there is a bowl of grapes, and they are not gross and wrinkly and fermented or anything, they will be eaten. Also I tried to draw the shirt I call my Depression-Commercial shirt, but that didn't really work out. Maybe I'll show it to you some time. With my swan pants.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the haiku thing! Hmm, let's see........
Grape soda scares me,
Real grapes don't inspire fear,
Artificial does.
Actually that could be perceived as pretty deep, but oh well. Deep is where you need to go sometimes. Along with hot pretzel places at the mall! One of the best dinners I had in a long time was a cinnamon-sugar pretzel with fudge dipping sauce and a vanilla latte. Sometimes you just need a pretzel to show you how sweet life can be.
