Back In BUSINESS!

Hey y'all!
Long time no see, eh?
The reason for lack of posts has come from the fact that I haven't been able to use a computer regularly since I didn't have one (and my school blocks me from using this program), but now I'm back on track with a new computer, which will hopefully not blow up like that last.
But guess what? It's summer, and that means more regular posts anyways!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
I'm out of school now, but I still have to go to graduation to see my friends look all fancy in their robes, and I probably won't start writing much more that this until next week.
Gotta get my crap/summer assignments together.
But until then have a good whatever you're doing (vacation/summer break/ enjoying winter for all of you living in some places), and I write soon.
(P.S While I was on this hiatus, I LEARNED TO USE THE SHIFT KEY INSTEAD OF ALWAYS USING CAPSLOCK! But of course for that last sentence I used the caps lock button, so...maybe less progress than I thought...oh well. I tried.)

The Sun Shines Again

Literally and figuratively.
HEY Y'ALL, I'M BACK!
I know the last time we spoke, I was in darker mood. But the sun is shining now, and I can feel the warmth on my skin. Sometimes I forget how much weather actually affects how you feel.
But it also helps that I'm on a break from school.
And I'm getting to the point where I'm running out of stuff to do.
Technically it's only day three, but I have already  reread The Outsiders, The Road, and the Dangerous Angels series (all great books, I must add), re-watched a bunch of Bob's Burgers episodes, cleaned my room some, eaten a bunch of candy, and started preparing for a trip in the future (CHICAGO HERE I COME, BABY!).
And when I get there, I'm planning on doing everything Ferris Bueller did.
Minus stealing a Ferrari...
I got a couple of songs on iTunes, and am procrastinating on homework.
SO ALL IS GOOD IN THE WORLD!

(If I could, I'd dance/throw flowers too, my little globe friend)
I'll probably blog again this week, which is super weird since my posts have been sporadic, but I'm excited.
And I could go for some sushi or a Chipotle burrito as well...but that's another matter.
Okay, I'm gonna go now. Gotta wake up early to chuck some soccer balls at my bro and spend another day in the sunshine.
Hope everybody's having a good week and is enjoying the nice weather (and if you still have snow, I send all the warmth and summer vibes/feelz your way.)
Catch you later.

This Video...

This is how I act on a regular basis. I wish I actually had this outfit, because I'd probably do the same thing.
I hope that you too, can be so inspired by your clothing that you make a video like this one. I shall join you on your quest.

I Love Fro-Yo (A post I wrote a month ago but was somehow never published)

Seriously. I do.
Doesn't matter if it's from Sweet Frog, Yogurtland, Kiwi, or anywhere. I love it.
1. I love all the flavors.
2. I love pulling down the levers to get your yogurts.
3. I love mixing and matching flavors. Or not. (Really, more like the opportunity)
4. I love that if the counter person walks away, you can put some on your finger and shove it in your mouth.
5. I love putting on toppings. Like gummy bears, sprinkles, cookie dough, kiwi, raspberries, mango, and bobas (OH MY LANDS BOBAS I COULD RANT ON THEIR GOODNESS FOR DAYS. Maybe I will someday...)
6. I love pondering over the toppings.
7. I love putting it on the scale to see how much your beautiful baby creation weighs.
8. I love the idea that it only costs so many cents per ounce.
9. I mildly enjoy paying for it.
10. I love it when the cashier gives you a colored spoon.
11. I love to take my new friend over to the counter and sit on a stool and eat there while staring out the window while you have a deep thought.
12. I love getting your money's worth of the free water that has strawberries floating in it but never really tastes like strawberries.
13. I love the time I take to pause and reflect on this.
14. I love savoring every bite and the texture of my yogurt.
15. And I regret throwing away the container and not getting more.
Yep. I like fro-yo.

Chilluns, I'm Back.

For reals this time.
OH MY GOSH GRUMPY CAT HAS A BROTHER! Whoops. Sorry about that.
Hopefully I start posting a bit more regularly, but pssh (rolls eyes), we know that ain't gonna happen anytime soon.
But I'm feeling refreshed and reenergized, and I'm ready to party!

Well, my type of partying of course. With Nutella. But in this case hummus because there is a buttload of it in my fridge and also there isn't any Nutella. I ate it on the road.
But I got my hair done did today, ate a lot of soup, and went to fencing last night for the first time in a month (nobody recognized me, but this sort of made me feel B.A for all of two seconds until my instructor was like, "OH, I KNOW WHO YOU ARE! You look so different! I'm going to take your picture for THE WALL!" Alas, his camera wasn't in his briefcase.)
On my mini vacation, I have decided that I need a new way to end posts, because I miss the finality of it.
I will not be doing poems though, or quotes, because that is just too dang predictable.
I need something new...something fresh... something like........
Ah, screw it, I have no idea. I need Batman to come swoop down and help me with that.
Anyway, I'm coming up with ideas for posts this week and the next, including...
1. My cats (AND I'M NOT A CREEPY CAT LADY, THEY ARE JUST WEIRD SO I HAVE A LOT OF STORIES TO TELL!)
2. Some drawings of me and my new hair (on the little kid program I use on my computer)
3. Outfits I wear?  I can talk about it, but I don't have a camera to show y'all, so that might not work.
4.Music! Basically just some of the songs I've been listening too lately. I've been getting really into action movie soundtracks.
5.Art? Ehh, I don't really know how show this one. I could show you some of the doodles and stuff I've done, along with my favorite artists (BANKSY).
Yeperdoodles. That's all I got for today.
Oh, I guess to end this I'll just say something that happened a little while ago.
So while I was at music camp, I was assigned a practice room that I could go to each morning to practice bassoon. My room was 29, and I basically knew where that was from the year before when I had fought my way downstairs through the throngs of children so I could check my reeds and get a couple notes out before my audition. But as I walked down stairs, I saw that some of the rooms had special signs, and not just  stating who they belonged to. 11 had a big Ocean's Eleven sign on it, and for 9 there was a sign in between it and 10 that said Room 9 and 3/4. So I went to my practice room to see what was special about it, and then I got there. In pencil, upon the sticky note with the number 29, in messy, all-caps writing, it said "HERP-A-DERP-ALICIOUS 29." I stared at it for awhile, grinned stupidly, and went in.
There was also a rotten apple core thingy inside.
Yep, so that's really all for today. I'm stalking the UPS truck with my eyes, hoping it comes to deliver beautiful, brown boxed presents that make me feel like it's Christmas everyday.
Gotta go.

Bye Bye Birdies.

Soon I'm going to be leaving, and this is the crazy month where posts aren't going to show up super often. I'm still figuring out what I'm going to do to continue to have something on the site, but I haven't really figured that out. Feel free to look through older posts (I enjoy the Mosquito one and the sail boat one especially, along with my gummy worm adventure). Things to do while I'm not posting...
1. Check out the free music on iTunes (new single every week!)
2. Watch Drop Dead Gorgeous on Youtube
3. Buy a Wreck this Journal (and destroy it of course)
4. Read World War Z (or see the movie!)
5. Use the computer drawing/painting program on your computer.
6. Eat Thai food.
7. Climb a mountain and yodel.
8. Create a huge slip and slide with a tarp.
9. Explore your town.
10. Go thrift shopping.
11. Doodle on your Converse.
12. Buy something that you wouldn't usually wear.
13. Call your friend that you haven't talked to in a while.
14. Go to a bookstore and read something there (I recently read The Glass Menagerie)
So I'll check up on all y'all later.

Sorry...

Hey, y'all.
I missed a couple posts/days because I was taking a mini trip, BUT I'M BACK BABY!

Literally.
But while I wasn't writing, I had some thoughts/ideas. And if you've been reading long enough, you probably already guessed that they would be presented in list form.
You guessed correctly, grasshopper.
1. I WILL GET A PIXIE CUT
I was thinking about getting one for awhile, and I finally decided to live a little and get one. Your hair grows back, and I'm FREAKING TIRED with dealing with mine and all of its thickness. I also hope that if I write it on this blog then it will help me follow through. And I know it will look awesome. And if it doesn't, I have a couple months for it to grow back before school starts. And as the cool kids say, YOLO*.
2. Ice Cream is the Best Dinner
Especially if it's chocolate custard with rainbow sprinkles. Mmmmmm.

3. Thinking About Mortality is dangerous.
Because once you start, it's hard to stop, and then you begin questioning everything and it gets pretty darn depressing and suddenly you wonder how you got here and you decide to ponder it over cheese and then you're finishing a puzzle at midnight. You know...just as an example. Not that this has ever happened to me...

4. Is it possible to get wind burn?
Because I think I have it and it burns around my eyes like a MOTHERTRUCKER!
I guess it is.
5. My Music Stories
Okay, so when I listen to music, if I'm not doing anything else, I usually make up a story that has me doing something to it. Something usually BA, because I can live super adventurously in my mind. So while I'm staring out the car window listening to "No Church in the Wild", I'm jumping rooftops with my flamethrower, then jumping off the edge of one, tumbling through the air and some how hitting the ground running while fending off these thugs that are chasing me with an inferno of blue and orange flames. While wearing reflective sunglasses. And a smile.

So yeah, that's what's been on my mind. Hope you enjoyed it.
I have 7 minutes until my deadline, so I GOT TO GET THIS DONE!**
Quote Time!
"A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves."
-Lao Tzu
Being a leader is hard, and you can't force people to follow you either. It has to be their choice.
Alright, chipmunks, I gotta fly.

*I will/have never said this acronym in earnest. And I don't plan on it. Ever.
** 10 minutes over deadline. Close enough.

Rawr.

Okay, you know how when there is something you don't want to do, the rest of the day feels shortened and you're running out of time before it happens?
I'm feeling that right now.
But not to talk about me, I'M HERE TO WRITE ABOUT WEIRD AWESOME STUFF!
Yaaaaaaaaay!
I got me some summer reading, still haven't gotten to volunteering, and basically I am gorging on Nutella and Salt and Vinegar Chips.
My cats are frolicking in the sun, with Marvin pouncing in the shadows, Buster running into me with joy (he like when the people outside!) and Cassidy acknowledging me and then going to find somewhere quiet to sleep.
I'm wearing my XL NBA jersey with the coffee stains on it, and not caring about anything.
Well, I'm worrying about the thing I have to do later, which is nagging me, but I don't want to talk about it.
I want to go outside though, so I'm going to end my post here with a quote and a couple of memes.
"The purpose of art is to wash the dust of daily life off our souls."
-Pablo Picasso

Yaaay! So go make art and be creative! I need to do a DIY soon....
Memes!

Oh my gosh, I NEED THAT MUG!
See you later.

This is What I felt Like Writing

So, yeah, I didn't want to do a real post, so I wrote this. Yeah, I don't really know why either. But, enjoy?

The man surveyed his yard with a smug smile, and reclined slowly back into his lawn chair. Here, he was king of the suburbs, watching over the slowly fanning sprinklers and perfectly manicured lawns of each identical house as the hours passed by. Nobody knew his name, but nobody really needed to, and he liked it that way. He was ruler without a title, and that is how it would stay.
His sloping stomach met his Hawaiian print trunks, and dark navy (at one time maybe black) was the open space that each fiery pink hibiscus floated on, stretching out to oblivion. The sweat of the ice tea glass that he grasped in his right hand met his own, and the dab of sunscreen on his nose began to blend in with the puffiness of his red cheeks. Eyes closed, he held his face towards the sun in an attempt to gather as many rays as he could as he relished the day and its heat.
Today, he was the duke of the neighborhood, commanding over the empty yards as men and women typed away in their offices and the heads of the children drooped towards their desk as they stared out the window, longing to be set free from the institution that would hold them for another week.
He always saw himself in charge, silently guarding his kingdom from intruders (such as squirrels and lost tourists), basking in the glow of the sun. As he relaxed, the wrinkles lessened their grip on his skin, his muscles lost all the tenseness, and his eyes closed like moths slowly lowering their wings, as if for the last time.
But that time hadn't come yet.

So yaaaay! That's what I did instead. Man, am I tired. Want a quote?
"My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return."
-Maya Angelou
Sweet dreams, chilluns.

GUMMY WORM ADVENTURE! (Summer so close....)

Hey everybody!
I know I took a mini break from posting (tsk, tsk, tsk), but I really needed it to study and right now is sort of my break in time for today. So I decided just to write about my day, because, hey, what the heck.
I woke up early. YEAH! Then I fell asleep again..........but I got up and got ready for school. Took a final, and then I had a break and was walking around school with my friends. We wanted food, but the only place that we could think to go is for pizza, and we were lazy. So we were walking to the playground.
BUT SUDDENLY, TENGO UNA IDEA!

"Why don't we go to that gas station that isn't that far away? I want cake." Everyone thought that was a good idea, so we started walking. I was jumping over speed bumps, being a weirdo like usual, and it was a good time.
Except after three minutes, my one friend stopped. "What if we're late for finals? I don't want to be late."
Well everyone chickened out basically, except my one friend, so we kept walking. But then we started getting worried, so we started to jog. And then we realized that the gas station was A LOT farther away than we thought, so we flat out started running. We hopped across the street, and were thinking about going back, but I wanted to press on.
So we got to the gas station, and as the other girl got ice cream and a Milky Way, I realized that you can't get cake at a gas station.
I should have realized that earlier......
BUT THEN I SAW THEM!
TROLLI SOUR BRITE CRAWLERS!

Okay, so if you are not a gummy candy enthusiast, you will probably not understand how happy this made me. These are the best gummy candies ever! Even better than that two foot long gummy snake I ate at lunch one time and I felt like something vaguely blueberry flavored was crawling around in my stomach. (Rookie does candy reviews, which I deeply enjoy, and they mention TSBCs here.)
Back to the story, I did my happy dance, and grabbed a pack, along with some Sourpatch Kids Watermelons for good measure, and headed toward the counter. Since there weren't any prices on the candy, I took a gamble and placed my treasure on the counter with the only three dollars I had, and successfully paid with thirty two cents to spare.

We booked it out of there once we paid, and after meeting up with some friends temporarily (as I screamed across the road about my gas station score), we kept moving. We slowed our pace (we were supposed to wait, but didn't want to), and walked back to school. We contemplated jumping in a pool, but thought better of it because one of the only things worse than finals is taking finals soaking wet while everyone and the teacher stares at you.
We cut through the sketchy overgrown path, and go whacked in the face by trees and weeds. We actually did this before, but I forgot to mention it. A lot more painful the first time.
We jogged up the hill, being proud of ourselves. The Watermelons, ice cream, and Milky Way were finished, and we got back to school with almost an hour to spare.
Our epic journey was complete, and it took us less than twenty minutes.
Also, all my friends who had gone back proceeded to eat my gummy worms.
Moral of the story: Epic journeys for cake ultimately end in candy, with your slightly lazy (but loveable) friends consuming a large portion of it.
But everything works out.

My hair smells like a pool (I went swimming), and I'm full of sweet potato puree with almond butter. Summer's a comin'. Just wait a little longer for more days of riding bikes without your hands on the handlebars, running through high grass and weeds during manhunt, and wondering what type bird likes to ram itself into your window at five in the morning.
Okay, time for a quote.
"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on."
-Robert Frost
Thank goodness for Robert Frost. I read his poems from a huge musty book in the creaking library down town on the days where it is raining and you can taste it in the air before it happens.
P.S I know it doesn't matter, but there are going to be two weeks in July where it is going to be impossible to write since I will be away. Or maybe I'll figure something out?

What if I was a rapper?

I thought of that today. My name would be Cleopatra's Ice, and I would be great and I would go every where and do every thing.
Haha one of my friends and I always joke that we are going to show up at our friend's new house and have a party at 3am and have a DJ and go swimming and have a dance party and then we'll fall asleep and make pancakes on the hibachi when we wake up....

HAHAHA OH MY GOD, THIS CAME UP WHEN I LOOKED UP "FANCY PANCAKES"! What is the world coming to? Not that I mind that it came up....
Guess what? I have lots of time today! So I can write for hours and eat food and go on Youtube and listen to music and be happy.
Writing is super relaxing and nice.
Oh, by the way, thanks everyone for reading! There are people from Paraguay and South Korea and Brazil and Mexico and all over the world! Just keep reading if you like what's going down up in here. If not, I wish you the best and can recommend you to places like The Useless Web or Emergency Compliment. I have spent hours on these websites. Even at school I have been able to get on them.
It is chilly right now and that makes me sad. Where did all the warm days and the sun and hot cement go? And the dreams of lemonade and sitting by the pool and reading in the sun and falling asleep on the lawn and waking up and finding that everything is too bright?
Maybe it'll come back soon...

Well, hopefully this won't happen....
I still haven't seen the Great Gatsby movie, you guys. It's pretty depressing. Hopefully I can go this weekend or sometime soon.
Yeah, I know that that probably won't happen, too. You don't have to remind me....
I feel like Ferris Bueller right now, and I'm ready to miss school for an adventure. I can't really go to Chicago, but for the past couple days I was dreaming about Philly.
Apparently, one can not write on their blog for as long as they would like since one's computer likes to shut down. I'll leave you with a little poem.
Cat's on the table,
Begging me to help him off,
Turn's out it's raining.
In the words of Lady Gaga and Ellen Degeneres,
"If you don't remember a thing I said today, remember this: you're gonna be ok, dum de dum dum dum, just dance."
You'll be fine.

Chilling Coming Soon

Hey babes.
Well, I've begun to dream about summer, with images of kiddy pool parties and pretending to be a little kid and going to playgrounds and going on rollercoasters right after having a funnel cake eating contest and imaginary road trips.
Wait, you're not thinking what I'm thinking? Well, maybe about the road trips.
Also lots of books and air conditioning and doodling and movies and joy.
Yeah that's more like it.

Oh, and don't forget the watermelon carved into a dinosaur. It's got to be a dinosaur. Otherwise the practicality/beauty isn't present.
Actually, today (like many days) I was pretending to be a Velciraptor. They're the best dinosaurs because:
a. you get to say Velciraptor when people ask what the frick are you doing.
b.you pretend to have short arms (also necessary for a T-Rex impression)
c.you can play Velciraptor catch (the best kind of catch)
d.you scream like a dinosaur
e.you run around being awesome
f.you talk in a especially weird voice that only a few people understand.

I personally find this one of the most adorable things in the world.
Weird, when I was talking to my cat I used the voice of one of the people in the Bad Lipreading Videos. Sorry.
Okay I would really like to sleep so YAAAAY POEM TIME!
Wrote poem with dinos,
Said they were super cuddly,
Teacher not approving.
Well, that's all folks. See you later, Jenelle.
P.S Y'all seriously need to watch Drop Dead Gorgeous if you haven't already. It changed my life I think. Also, it made me hesitant scared the crap out of me to stuff my face at seafood buffets, but I went to one two weeks ago, and after getting up to refill my plate eight times, I think I have conquered that fear. Now onto Tasty Kakes...
